A new shooters forum has been created with the objective of having a central place where all the southeast region gun clubs, shops etc. can communicate about matches, questions, competitions (idpa/ipsc/uspsa/3gun), etc.

Due to work conflicts, Robert Niemi is sharing the gauntlet with Berry Williams and Dave Rizzico. Encourage these gentlemen as they persevere with bringing the same excellent quality to the Foothills Defensive Shooters matches. We are updating an email list to contact folks too, so if you'd like to be on that list, be sure to give us your email address the next time you shoot with us or contact DenMother to be added to the IDPA list.

Welcome to Foothills Defensive Shooters
We are an IDPA affiliated club in the Wilkesboro North Carolina area. Foothills has been holding matches since 2000. We are known for our friendly atmosphere and the great people that come out to shoot with us. Many shooters that participate in IDPA have gotten their start right here.
The true test of any club is not that you can keep the shooters that you started with but that you can attract new ones and keep them coming back as well. It is always a joy to watch someone come to their first match, shoot a stage or two and then realize that this is not so hard. They relax, have a good time and meet new friends. When they come back they usually have been practicing some and you can see the results.
We would like to extend an open invitation to the new shooter in this sport. Come out; see what we are all about. Plan on shooting and having a good time with the people here. We will do our best to ensure that everyone, new shooter and seasoned veteran, has a great time. Feel free to contact us with questions.
Thanks to Duncan's Gun & Pawn for a great place to shoot. Thanks also to all the safety officers that come out to ensure that we have a safe and fun day each time we gather.
