A new shooters forum has been created with the objective of having a central place where all the southeast region gun clubs, shops etc. can communicate about matches, questions, competitions (idpa/ipsc/uspsa/3gun), etc.

WINTER PISTOL MATCH

From Match Director: "I have been looking at the weather for the rest of the week and think that the range at Wilkes is going to be a mess. After the snow last week, the rain/snow/sleet this weekend and rain/snow tomorrow (Tuesday, 2/9) we will not have a place to park vehicles at the range other than on the road. Also I am thinking that the range may still be under snow and if not it is going to be so swampy on the bays we will have safety issues."

Welcome to Foothills Defensive Shooters
You may be asking what this club is all about.
We are an IDPA affiliated club in the Wilkesboro North Carolina area. We have been holding matches here since 2000. We are known for our friendly atmosphere and the great people that come out to shoot with us. Many shooters that participate in IDPA in the area have gotten their start right here.
The true test of any club is not that you can keep the shooters that you started with but that you can attract new ones and keep them coming back as well. It is always a joy to watch someone come to their first match, shoot a stage or two and then realize that this is not so hard. They relax, have a good time and meet new friends. When they come back they usually have been practicing some and you can see the results.
As the match director for Foothills Defensive Shooters I would like to extend an open invitation to the new shooter in this sport. Come out; see what we are all about. Plan on shooting and having a good time with the people here. I will do my best to ensure that everyone, new shooter and seasoned veteran, has a great time. Feel free to contact me with questions; I will get you an answer.
Thanks to Duncan's Gun, Range and Loan for a great place to shoot. Thanks also to all the safety officers that come out to ensure that we have a safe and fun day each time we gather.
